EMTransfer is a software as a service that is directly integrated with the Trust Account Holders bank. We provide an intuitive user experience to set up fund transfers, securely collect bank account information with our phishing safeguard, and then execute the debit/credit to the client’s account when needed. The money will then flow directly to and from the trust account without going through a third-party processor, ensuring that your financial institution is involved in the complete movement of the funds.

Anyone connected to the real estate transaction can use EMTransfer to either provide their funds to the Trust Account Holder or receive funds from the Trust Account Holder. For example the Real Estate Buyer can provide their earnest money and down payment. Real Estate Agents can receive their commissions. Sub-contractors who performed work on the property can receive payment. Last but not least the Seller can receive their proceeds.

EMTransfer is NOT a third-party payment processor or a financial institution. Additionally, EMTransfer.com does not hold or touch any funds for the real estate transaction. EMTransfer also does not automate the transferring of any funds. Only the Trust Account Holder can initiate the electronic transfer of funds using the EMTransfer service.

EMTransfer provides several documents that are used to document the transfer of funds. Each transfer will produce a Client Receipt that will be sent to your client automatically. In addition, you will receive Bank Receipts, Client Authorization which can contain your Mechanics Lien Waiver and Ledger Cards for each transfer. We also provide a Credit/Debit report that can be used for reconciling your trust account.

Yes, it is. When your customer provides their bank details to EMTransfer, we immediately encrypt the data. After the bank account information is stored the only entity that will ever have access to the full bank account information is the Trust Account Holder’s bank. Otherwise, only the last four digits of the bank account information are added to our documentation for reference purposes.
